Governor Dan McKee and RI Department of Human Services Director Kimberly Merolla-Brito,
Representatives from the National Federation of the Blind, Governor’s Advisory Council for the Blind, and RIPTA’s Accessible Transportation Advisory Council
This event is being coordinated by RI DHS’s Office of Rehabilitation Services: Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
White Cane Day is a national observance to celebrate the equality & achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of the white cane, representing independence, equality and opportunity.
